Frequently Asked Moving Questions

When determining a moving service consider these moving questions. How many items are being moved? What is the nest access between my home and the moving truck? What size is my home? Choosing the number or movers depends on the accessibility, square footage of your home, and your preference on time. On average, two movers are sent on moves under 1,500 square feet, and an additional mover is recommended for every additional 1,000 feet.

Truck sizes depend of the type of moving service you need. On average, homes under 1,000 square feet fit into a 16' truck. Homes over 1,000 feet are recommended to have a 26' truck rental. However, when looking to rent a truck it is important to consider what items will be moved and how furnished your home is. 

Deposits are required at the time of booking. Payments will be collected  over the phone at the following rates ($50 labor only, $150 for 16'  truck, $250 for 26' truck). These payments will be reflected on your  final bill. 48 hour cancellation policy or deposit will be forfeit.

Need a moving service with a specialty item? Yes, we can move items over 250 lbs like pianos, treadmills, and gun safes. There may be an additional fees associated the services and extra movers may be required to assist in the relocation. Other high value items, like statues and artwork, may require crating or additional insurance. Please call us to discuss your moving needs further.

Full service moves will come with all moving supplies for the day of the move. Partial moves like loading only require you to provide moving pads and straps. A general rule of thumb is that you will need two pads per foot of truck (e.g. 17' truck = 34 moving pads, 26' truck = 52 moving pads). Keep in mind the number of furniture pieces that are wood. You can also create a moving checklist of items that require protection to help determine the amount of pads needed.

Colorado statue states that every moving company must offer the customer $0.60/lb, per item that is damaged or lost. This standard insurance is provided for all moving services. Also, almost all home owners insurance also covers moves at a higher protection rate. We recommend calling your insurance prior to your move to see what coverage they offer. Our insurance only covers the services we performed for your move.
